WageR History and Biographies.

Wayne            Alan            Dave            Mick           Emmerson

Dave Lynn (Keyboards).

Dave grew up in the south of England around the Portsmouth area and started playing piano at the age of 7, having lessons at school. This carried on for a few years until he got fed up just learning classical stuff, at which point he decided he would continue self taught so he could widen his styles.

Throughout college, he joined a Blues/Rock band which he loved. He had a couple of projects with a few people he met in college, co-writing material of varying styles. At the same time he worked on another project with a female singer/songwriter but after she moved to Japan to teach English, this fell through.

David bounced along from band to band playing mainly classic rock stuff until he got an audition for a band called Soul Survivor which was a Commitments tribute. He got the job and enjoyed 2 years of gigging all over the south coast of England.

A close friend of Dave’s approached him one day and asked if he would give up his day job, move to Butlins in Bognor and work with him on a new project, co-writing some indie/metal material with plans of “making it!!”. Dave agreed off they went together to create their empire. This fell through!

Eventually, Dave moved up to the sunny Midlands to be with his what was soon to be wife, and embarked on another journey of musical mystery. He joined yet another Commitments tribute, Committed, and stayed with them for about a year until it all went pear-shaped.

Dave got married to his very patient wife, and saw an audition for WageR. He phoned them and was invited for a drink to meet Wayne and Alan. This went well, so they went into the studio. And the rest, as they say, is history!
