Whats your favourite Sci Fi movie?

There are some classics out there but my all time favourite is fairly recent...

Serenity .......It is a novel twist on the Sci fi genre and has some extremely funny moments. To appreciate it even more watch the TV series it is based on....Firefly.

Superb Big Grin

My favourite sci-fi movie has got to be SILENT RUNNING.

Although the 50's classic THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL comes a very close second.
I also love a film called THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR with Ul Brinner set in post nuclear war America.

I love sci-fi films but they have to be a bit different or a total classic.

Do you realise?........this world is totally FUGAZI.

I must admit, out of the classics (what is a classic?) Silent Running is one of my faves, also Dark Star, great humour in that one hehe.

Oh , and talkin of Yule Brynner, the one where he was a robot, cant remember the title cause I,m having one of my blackouts lol.

Some of my favourite classic sci-fi films are:
The original War of the Worlds;
2001: A Space Odyssey;
Dune;
the original Star Wars trilogy (think that's a bit obvious)

But I'm also a huge fan of modern films like Event Horizon (chilling), all the Star Trek movies and The Matrix (but not it's sequels)

One of my favs is Star Trek Generations. The storyline involving Kirk and Picard could have been a bit dodgy. But I thought it was handled well.

Them! was a classic too. Smile

Yeah Generations is mighty fine although out of the Next Generation movies i prefer First Contact, Time Travel and the Borg what a winner. Although my favorite film of all time which is more of a comedy than sci fi is Back To The Future i just love those films.

DJ Event Horizon kept me awake for weeks that was one twisted movie.

You Can't have manslaughter without laughter!!!

Yup, have to agree there. Kind of a strange little segway, but Scott Bakula (Dr. Sam Beckett of Quantum Leap and Jonathon Archer of Enterprise is rumoured to be working on two movies soon, one for both series. I can't wait Big Grin

Sure is twisted, I love movies like that tho.

Least favourite sci-fi film for me: The Thing. I was unfortunate enough to watch it was I was 5 years old, and it scared the hell out of me all my junior years. I can't watch it to this day. Tbh tho, any film with Kurt Russell in it is just scary...
