Nic Smith - Keyboards

Nic Smith is a composer, performer and teacher. A classically trained pianist, Nic has over 20 years of experience playing acoustic piano and electronic keyboards both in recording sessions & live. He is a composer of classical piano and contemporary synthesizer works, with a new album promised for 2006.

Nic also plays the violin and 120 bass accordion, and regularly enjoys participating in folk sessions – playing mostly traditional & Celtic styles of music. An experienced teacher of piano and modern keyboards, Nic draws upon a diverse range of styles and influences to give the student a wide and thorough grounding in all aspects of keyboard technique.

As a performer, his influences are obvious: Rick Wakeman and Keith Emerson are fused with Scarlatti and Mozart. Fast, intricate keyboard wizardry is contrasted with beautiful piano work - performed with clarity and emotion.
